Hello! Two Parents, Two Fruits & One Big Why
Meet Mom, Dad, Papaya and Coconut (yes, those are their podcast names). Who we are, why we're staying anonymous, and why we finally decided to grab a mic and talk about all of it.
Coming soonA family podcast
We're just Mom & Dad, parents to twins we call Papaya and Coconut (not their real names, because we keep our family anonymous). One of them lives with hydrocephalus, the other keeps us on our toes in a whole different way. This is us, at the kitchen table, talking honestly about all of it.

What we talk about
Shunts, scans, surgeons and specialists: what we've learned, explained in plain words.
Two personalities, two timelines, one bond. Comparing less and celebrating more.
Where we agree, where we don't, and how we keep showing up for each other.

Coming soonFAQ
Twice the Heart is a family podcast hosted by a mom and dad raising twins. One twin has hydrocephalus and the other does not. Each episode covers parenting a child with a medical condition, twin life, sibling fairness, and keeping a marriage strong.
The name is about the parents. Twice the Heart stands for the two of us, Mom and Dad, and the love, patience and teamwork it takes from both of us to raise our children, whatever each day brings.
The show is hosted by a married couple who go by Mom and Dad. They stay anonymous and use the nicknames Papaya and Coconut for their twins to protect their children's privacy.
Yes. The show is made by parents living with hydrocephalus day to day, and covers shunts, scans, warning signs and hospital life in plain language. It is not medical advice; listeners should always follow their own child's care team.
Episodes are available on the website, and on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and via RSS.
